We are delighted to be a part of Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP)’s two-day Benefits Self Defence Training.
This is a free event for disabled people to gain confidence, skills, tools and tips on how to assist themselves and others through the benefits system. The sessions will focus on ESA, PIP and Universal Credit, from applications to appeals.
Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st July 11am-4pm
Windrush Millennium Centre, 70 Alexandra Road, Moss Side, Manchester M16 7WD.
Our caseworkers will share their experience of navigating the appeals process.
Other speakers include Tom Messere, author of the authoritative Big Book of Benefits and an experienced welfare rights worker, and Maureen Day, GMCDP’s project worker on their Young Disabled People Advice and Advocacy Project.
