The Greater Manchester Law Centre opened in the face of law centre closures, cuts to advice services and a harsh environment for all public services. We saw that our community was being denied justice and we said: we have to do something. Individual donations, sponsorship and community fundraising are more than top-ups for GMLC: they are essential for our survival.
We therefore say a huge thank you to Sarah, Kate, Glynis, Sean, Katrina, Yasmin, Dianne, Louis and Ian for raising over £2000 by running the Great Manchester Run on 20th May.
After months of training and collecting donations, they braved the extraordinary May heat, running together for free access to justice. In particular, we thank our volunteer Sarah Donohoe for all her work supporting and co-ordinating our runners.
