May Day is a day where Communities come together to celebrate their diversity all around the world. In Salford, the role for organising May Day has been traditionally done by Salford Trades Union Council (Est. 1866) and this year we want to spread the message of Unity in the Community.
Salford TUC would like to invite all community groups to join them on the annual May Day parade on Monday 1st May. Please bring banners and flags to make it as colourful as possible.
Assemble – Sacred Trinity Church, Chapel Street 1pm
End Rally – Bexley Square, Chapel Street 2:30pm
Joining us on the parade and speaking will be: the Bishop of Manchester, Salford MP – Rebecca Long Bailey and Paul Dennet, Mayor of Salford. As well as community speakers.
